Knoxville hits Most Unfair Cities to be a Working Woman list for Equal Pay Day

Knoxville, TN – The not happy news out on April 13th that Knoxville is number 3 on Forbes list of most unfair cities to be a working woman with a 38% pay gap is proof that there is a significant problem in our area that must be addressed.  The East Tennessee Women’s Leadership Summit is pleased to announce that Kathleen McQuiggan, Pax World Senior Advisor for Gender Diversity Initiatives and President of Catalina Leadership, as a speaker for the June 15th event.

McQuiggan, who speaks nationally on behalf of Pax World’s “Say No to All Male Boards” campaign, will discuss the power women can hold and wield as consumers as well as the importance of investing in women.”

A long-time activist for women’s issues in business, McQuiggan was senior sponsor of Goldman Sachs Boston Women’s Network; and was the recipient of the Goldman Sachs Citizenship and Diversity Award. She is currently: Co- President of the Boston Chapter of 85Broads; a supporter and spokesperson for the National Council for Research on Women, Women in Fund Management report; and is a member of the Simmons Women’s Initiative Forum. She has been a guest speaker at numerous conferences on women in finance including: 85Broads, Simmons College and 100 Women in Hedge Funds.

The East Tennessee Women’s Leadership Summit, titled Live. Learn.
